The team rests up at the Gnomes and then treks down the path to deal with the reported dragon.
On the travel they encounter very narrow footing with a deep crevice to one side.
In a particularly narrow section, a Gelatinous Cube blocks the path. The rouge notices it and they take appropriate action, striking with ranged magic.

 

As the group enters the area where a dragon is expected, they are attacked by the lightning breath weapon of a Behir. After a short fight where the Warlock falls, the Sorcerer puts a wall of ice trapping the Behir and it negotiates for peace, offering a Flamebrand to and any information on the dragon. The party, from the description thinks the dragon is a black dragon.Behir D&D5 MM

The team sneaks as quietly as possible into the dragons lair, spreading out to keep from each other being covered by the breath weapon. The dragon turned out to be a red shadow dragon and used the darkness to it’s advantage. Being resistant to most of the parties attacks int he darkness, and totally immune to fire.Shadow Dragon

The spend it’s turn casting light on objects and throwing them near the dragon so that the rest of the party could hurt it. During the assault, the dragon managed to kill the fighter with it’s breath weapon, but the party overcame it in the end.

Heading back to the Gnomes to seek healing and possible intervention for Kathra, the Behir breaks the Truce and attacks the team and the party is forced to slay it.

Upon reaching the Gnomes, they offer a holy symbol that contains magic power and money to have the fighter raised.
