This time on NES Action we are looking at Bubble Bobble. A classic NES action game, Bubble Bobble is a fun action game with a catchy tune and addictive gameplay. Fun alone or with a friend, this is a game anyone who plays NES should try.
Baron Von Blubba has kidnapped the Bubby and Bobby’s girlfriends and turned the brothers into Bubble Dragons, Bub and Bob. Bub and Bob have to finish 100 levels in the Cave of Monsters in order to rescue them. You blow bubbles to capture enemies and once an enemy is captured, you can pop the bubble to defeat them. Defeat all the enemies and you clear the level. Clear all 100 levels and you beat the game!
The play screen wraps, so if you fall off the bottom, you end up at the top. Enemies kill you in one hit, and you have a limited number of lives, but you have infinite continues.
This is one of my favorite NES games and I remember staying up all night one time with a friend to beat the game. The music is one that always ends up in my head for days when I hear it as well.
